As the Olympic Games are now closed in Paris, we have the pleasure to present you with some photos of the beautiful Olympic flame in its cauldron, which illuminated the magnificent sky of Paris during this time at night.
The extraordinary Olympic flame gone from OLYMPIE in Greece on 16 April 2024, then went to the site of the Olympic flame handover in Athens, by embarking on the magnificent ship “Le BELEM”, a three-mast built in 1896.
Arrived aboard the BELEM in Marseille, the Olympic flame has passed through all the French metropolitan regions and overseas, including the Cannes festival and the apnea site of Villeneuve-Loubet.
During the entire period of the Olympic Games, a beautiful hot air balloon attached to a beautiful cauldron illuminated the nights of Paris above the gardens of the Louvre, while the real flame was under high protection on the floor in a showcase.
With an extraordinary elevation above the Louvre gardens, this magnificence of the Olympic flame rising to almost 60 meters above the ground allowed a serie of exceptional views of the surrounding monuments, of which the Louvre carousel with its superb quadriga ( confer here : https://www.iwaliora.xyz/venice-in-paris for the quadriga of the Louvre carousel ).
By a curious crossing of history, an exceptional encounter was realized between Olympia ( by the olympic flame ) and Venice, by the presence of the copy of the exceptional quadriga on the carousel of the Louvre.
It is this exceptional reality that we have the pleasure to show you by the few photos that follow.
